We are pleased to share with you the news that September 30, 2024, the Department for Agricultural Research and Development, Science Sector of our Institute strengthened its research capacities with another Doctor of Science in the field of agronomy. A young colleague from the Institute, master engineer Stefan Gordanić, defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Evaluation of morphological and chemical properties of sremus (Allium ursinum L.) from the territory of the Republic of Serbia", at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Belgrade, which earned him the title of doctor of biotechnical sciences (agriculture). This doctoral dissertation was realized under the mentorship of prof. Dr. Đorđe Moravčević, full professor at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun and Dr. Tatjana Marković, scientific advisor at the Institute for Medicinal Plants Research. The smiling faces of the mentors, members of the Doctoral Defense Commission and other colleagues present show how much we are all looking forward to the successes of our young people at the Institute.
