Today, the Institute has shaped its original activities into a unique research and production unit with a recognizable production program, and it is the leading institution in the field of medicinal plants in Serbia and the wider Balkan region.

Tea filter bags, as a modern form of single-use tea packaging, offer a convenient solution for daily preparation and consumption of tea beverages. The production and quality of the final products are aligned with the legal regulations applicable to food production, with strict adherence to the HACCP system. The medicinal herbs contained in the bags are prepared and ground according to standard specifications for optimal extraction of active ingredients, while the bags are made from high-quality filter paper that allows for the unrestricted transfer of active ingredients into the water phase.

The tea blends are made from carefully selected medicinal herbs with mild effects, whose efficacy and safety have been confirmed through decades of use, based on formulations rooted in traditional medicine and modern research. The recipes were developed by teams of pharmacists, respecting contemporary principles of phytotherapy, the chemical composition of active ingredients, and the pharmacological action of each component.

Single-component teas are the simplest products made from medicinal herbs, consisting of dried parts of only one plant: root, rhizome, aerial part of the plant, bark, flower, leaf, fruit, or seed. The collection or harvesting of each plant species is done according to a harvest calendar, during the period when the plant is richest in medicinal ingredients. The product line includes more than one hundred single-component teas. Some medicinal herbs are collected from wild flora in ecologically sound areas, while a large number of species are cultivated on plantations, either on the Institute's agricultural estates or in cooperation with individual producers, using modern agronomic measures tailored to the cultivated plants.

The group of phytopreparations includes modern pharmaceutical forms of products made from medicinal herbs, intended to support the harmonization of physiological processes and alleviate mild health issues. Developed as the result of projects undertaken by the Institute's teams of experts, many of these products have been on the market for several decades, with numerous generations of users attesting to their quality and effectiveness.

Honey, as a natural bee product containing a high concentration of inverted sugar, protein, mineral substances, enzymes, vitamins, essential oils, and low water content, demonstrates many beneficial effects on the respiratory and digestive systems. Its low moisture content and high inverted sugar concentration contribute to the stability of honey, along with its significant bactericidal and fungicidal properties.

Today, the Institute multiplies, processes, and sells seeds of varieties and domesticated populations for about forty species of industrial, medicinal, aromatic, and culinary herbs.
