The Conference on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (CMAPSEEC) was held from October 6 to 10, 2022, in Ohrid, Republic of North Macedonia. The event was jointly organized by the Macedonian Pharmaceutical Association and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Saints Cyril and Methodius University - Skopje, in collaboration with the Association for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (AMAPSEEC). The conference offered hybrid participation, both in-person and online, for oral presentations.

The sections were divided into: Phytochemistry, Ecology and Biodiversity; Pharmacology and Phytotherapy (Bioactivity, Toxicity, Ethnopharmacology, and Ethnobotany); Production of Plant Substances and Preparations (Cultivation, Biotechnology, and Processing); Cannabis.

The scientific program included 1 plenary session, 12 invited lectures, 14 oral presentations, and 70 posters, providing an opportunity for a large number of researchers in the field of natural products to present their findings. A total of 174 participants from 20 countries attended the conference (Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Morocco, Montenegro, N. Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, the UK, and the USA).

Short abstracts from the plenary lecture, oral presentations, and posters will be published in a special issue of the Macedonian Pharmaceutical Bulletin No. 68, 2022.

Institute researchers participated with oral and poster presentations and were also members of the scientific committee.
