Minister of Science, Jelena Begović, visited the Institute "Dr. Josif Pančić".

The Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Jelena Begović, today discussed with the leadership and scientific staff of the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research "Dr. Josif Pančić" the plans and vision of this unique institution in the field of medicinal plants in the Balkans, which, thanks to the combination of production and scientific research activities, has been supplying products to numerous markets, including the United States, for 75 years.

"Today we discussed the future of the Institute "Dr. Josif Pančić", considering the development of new technologies and the intense competition, as well as how science, expertise, and innovation can serve as competitive advantages and help address at least some of the competition in the market," said Begović to journalists during her visit to the Institute.

According to her, science and innovation, along with the Institute's rich history, represent the greatest strength of the Institute "Josif Pančić". She emphasized that the Institute must increasingly leverage the combination of science and production, as well as scientific research, to remain one of the most innovative institutions.
