Information

Dr. Miloš Rajković was born in Subotica on August 4, 1984. He graduated from the elementary school "Miroslav Antić" in Palić, and then from the natural sciences of the high school "Svetozar Marković" in Subotica. He enrolled in undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Department of Plant Protection, in 2003 and graduated in 2007. He completed his master's degree in Herbology in 2009. He defended his doctoral dissertation "Flame weeding in Corn and Soybean" in 2018 at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade.

He worked at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad from 2010 to 2023 as a researcher in weed science.  In addition to physical control of weeds with flaming, he has been involved in testing the effectiveness of herbicides, including herbicide registration, development, and demo trials, trials with protectants and plant growth regulators, creating herbicide-tolerant hybrids, testing of corn and sunflower lines for herbicide selectivity, and weed resistance to herbicides. Finding optimal weed control measures and safe use of herbicides, both in conventional and organic production, was the main occupation of his research. He is also engaged in precision agriculture and drone application in plant protection.

He served as Assistant Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry in the Provincial Government, President of the Organizing Committee of the XI Congress on Weeds and Growth Regulators, and President of the Board of Directors of the Vojvodina Organic Cluster.  He is a member of the European Weed Control Society, the Weed Science Society of Serbia, and the Plant Protection Society of Serbia. He had specializations in 2010 in China (Nanjing), in 2018 in Israel (Tel Aviv), in 2019 in Turkey (Antalya), and in 2023 in China (Beijing). At the Faculty of Organic Agriculture of Educons University, he teaches undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies. He has participated in 7 Horizon, 3 international, and 7 national projects, and has published 126 scientific publications.
