At the Conference on Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange between the Shandong Province of China and Serbia, held on September 10, 2024, at the Sava Center, during the signing ceremony, the director of the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research "Dr. Josif Pančić" – Dr. Milan Lukić, and the president of the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences – Dr. Liang Jinguang, signed a Cooperation Agreement. The goal of this agreement is to strengthen international cooperation between the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research from Belgrade and the Landscape Architecture Institute of the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences from Jinan, to jointly conduct scientific research and academic exchange in the field of agricultural and pharmaceutical sciences, with a particular focus on the edible and medicinal properties of the studied plants, and to further accelerate the development of scientific and technological achievements. The agreement also provides for the formation of a joint laboratory between the two Institutes, named "The Sino-Serbia Joint Laboratory on Edible and Medicinal Plants."
